Above, you can see all of our rakeback offers on the online poker rooms that allow American players. Like most certainly are aware of, the law UIGEA doesn´t allow online poker rooms receiving money or spend money. Below you can read more about this law.
UIGEA - The unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
On the 13th of October 2006 President Bush signed UIGEA. This law is no law against internet poker gambling. It is a law that prohibits banks and credit institutions to fly in or out money to online poker rooms. UIGEA does not make online poker players into criminals, but only acts as a law against online poker rooms and the like to transfer money to and from banks and credit institutions. This was an abrupt end for many large American gaming portals and online poker rooms. But some online poker rooms are still allowed to fly money in and out.
It was a tough blow to the online poker rooms, which had many American players, some lost much of its player base, while others completely disappeared. But this was not the end for these players. They sought instead to other online poker rooms that allow American players. This meant that some of the online poker rooms that still allow U.S. players got a huge lift. In other words, there are still many online poker rooms where American players can play online poker.
There are obviously many opponents of this law which is perfectly understandable. But not only online poker players have expressed their dissatisfaction. There are also several politicians which oppose the UIGEA law, what will happen on the UIGEA is difficult to say. But so far, all U.S. online poker players are limited to play on the pages allows American players. Several major online poker rooms still allows American players such as Full Tilt Poker, Poker Nordica and Cake Poker and others. So there are still several online poker rooms to choose from, but not as many as it was before the 13th October 2006.
